Bill Clinton Lies about Hillary’s Lies
Recently Bill Clinton spoke in Indiana and, despite the fact that most people had stopped talking about it, he decided to bring up his wife's Bosnia story — that's right, the one with the imaginary sniper fire. He defended her by saying he thought it was funny how the press treated her like she "robbed a bank" just for "forgetting" something "once" "late at night".
Of course, the reality is that Hillary actually told the false story (known in some circles as a "lie") on at least three separate occasions over the course of a month. Once was at night, once was in the morning, once was in the middle of the day. She also defended the story to reporters and stood by it on at least two separate occasions (before the video came out, proving it didn't happen anything like what she described) and, perhaps most importantly, she wasn't (mis)speaking off the top of her head — she read this story from her prepared remarks, speeches that were written in advance.
So, given the available facts I really see only two main possibilities: Either Bill Clinton has been given far too much credit for his "political savvy" or else he is a brilliant, brilliant man who has been slowly and deliberately seeding his wife's campaign with tiny seeds of sabotage for months (remember the comment about Jesse Jackson and South Carolina?) — either way, his running tally of things he did that reflected negatively on his wife's campaign is heading for double digits, and this time it looks like the cable news networks are really going to dig into this.
