Right on. I see some parts of this issue in two ways. 1, I can understand why gay men who will never have a normal relationship with a woman, should get a chance at some of the benefits of married life. Which I believe is the #1 reason for the fight for the right, is for equal opportunity for the benefits of married life and all that good stuff. But then, on the other hand, which is an unorthadox opposition to this issue, but #2, if They make it legal for gays to marry, then all these benefits, held exclusively for married people, will have to be given to everyone. I mean just think of all the straight men who are just doomed to be single forever because of the passion for nintendo memorabilia, couldn't they just get married with their best friend, just for the sake of the benefits. Just on paper marriage, ya know. Knowone would ever know they got maried, except when tax time came they would just quietly file jointly and reap the benefits of a married couple, or get insurance discounts because they are roomates, now they can act like it. lol, I'm like you, I give up, who cares who gets married. I wish I could claim my dog as a dependent, now were talkin.
